Kage Kaisen Revival!

.SITE RENOVATION.

To all our members,

I (Kensei), have decided to renovate the site, which has remained dead since our head Administrator, Baraku, went absent. There will be a new set of rules, a new skin, new profile formats...

Basically, we're starting the site over.

But don't be alarmed. For those of you who choose to return, you will not have to rewrite your application, or change it to the present system. Your applications are still there, resting in the Filing Cabinet -- feel free and ask the Staff to repost it if it has already been approved, or ask them to read over the application and approve it, then move it to the Approved sub-boards.

If you do not wish to roleplay on the site any longer, or the renovation does not appeal to you, all you have to do is tell the Staff in a PM ; your account will be removed without any questions.

We apologize for any inconveniences, and thank you all for your patience and cooperation.

Your loving (new) head Admin,
Kensei

Code of Conduct Empty Code of Conduct

[color:97f0=##6BBAFF].CODE OF CONDUCT.
We expect everyone to follow these rules. If someone should break one of these rules, he/she risks (1) banishment, (2) confiscation of PM/ChatBox priveledges, (3) confiscation of character, or (4) whatever punishment the Staff deem necessary or fitting. I, as Head of Staff, reserve the right to modify/overrule any of the Code of Conduct if I see fit to do so.

[color:97f0=##6BBAFF].GENERAL RULES.
These mostly apply to the ChatBox, PMs, and the OoC (Out of Character) boards, but some of these rules also extend to the actual RPing that goes on in this forum. If you take heed and play according to the rules, no-one gets hurt ^^

1.) Follow the Golden Rule -- be respectul. Don't accuse, bitch, flame, or swear excessively. We're supposed to be a big, happy community, and assholery won't be tolerated. If you do any of the above on the board, the ChatBox, or the PMs, you will be removed from the board. You have been warned.

2.) Don't advertise anywhere on the board, the ChatBox, or the PMs. We've had problems with unwarranted advertising in the past, and we don't want any more after the renovation. There is a seperate board for advertisements and affiliating, so you can advertise there.

3.) You need to be active. After two weeks of inactivity without warning, you will be informed via e-mail. After a month, your account will be deleted. Please announce any planned absences on the Coming & Going board.

4.) Contribute to the site. Your post count means absolutely nothing -- don't spam, don't be useless, keep to the topic. This applies everywhere.

5.) Use clean and correct writing. Be clear, be precise, check your spelling, and correct your own mistakes. This applies to both discussions and actual RPing. No ChatSpeak or 7331 language. And, keep posting etiquette. No double-posts, no bumping topics, and post in places where you're supposed to, or allowed to post, not in closed RPs and other people's applications.

6.) I probably don't have to say this, but the farthest you can go is PG-13. Any hint of mature or obscene material, and you're out of here. Keep it appropriate.

7.) The Staff's decisions are final. If you have any questions, then send it politely through PMs. Don't bother the Staff about their actions, or dire consequences will follow. We can't keep everyone happy.

8.) You may not have more than one account on any given IP address. Sorry, but this is to prevent member benefits from being exploited. If we find more than one account, all but the oldest will be deleted without warning, and you will be punished, probably with a temporary ban.
[color:97f0=##6BBAFF].ROLEPLAYING RULES.
The do's and don'ts of roleplaying. Make sure you read these before posting in the IC (In Character) boards.
1.) Don't God-Mode. Write what your character is capable of, and know his/her limits. He/she is not invincible, and he/she does NOT know how to avoid every single thing thrown at him/her. Write things that MAKE SENSE and BE FAIR. Play out both the strength and weakness of your character, and don't power-play. Your character isn't as powerful as you like to think. God-Modding will be especially enforced in fights and tournaments. Don't control other characters without explicit permission from that member and the Staff, and then RP according to the existing character application.

2.) If you do not respond to a fight, or a tournament that you have started within 2 days, you are automatically disqualified.

3.) You may only RP in up to three threads at any given time.

4.) Differentiate IC and OoC. IC (In Character) would be your character's thoughts, feelings, or actions. OoC would be you, the RPer, him/herself. Don't mix up IC/OoC relationships (love/hate), and follow feign ignorance. What happens OoC, or information exchanged OoC does NOT equate to your character (IC) knowing about it. We will arn people if they mix up the two.

5.) Discuss how you are going to RP with another person in a seperate RP discussion thread in the Lounging Around board. If you're going to lead another character into a trap (IC-wise), inform them of your intention OoC beforehand. Talk to others, and make it clear -- discuss what will happen. Don't suddenly backstab someone, or kill them off. It's just plain wrong.

6.) Anything you post should be original. Don't copy/paste, steal from others, plagiarize, or use excessive flashbacks from your previous works. Such behavior will result in complete, indefinite expulsion from the RP.

7.) Try to write more than one line when RPing. It makes it much easier and more fun for everyone involved when everyone writes at least a paragraph. One-liners will only be tolerated when you make up for it later.

Congratulations for reading the Code of Conduct!
