Personality: Nejiko has a very quiet demeanor and is always thinking about multiple things at once. She rarely laughs yet always has a half smile on her face. She loves reading and can sometimes forget about what she was doing at the moment if she begins remembering a book she has recently read.

Skills/Abilities: Profound understanding of the Human and Spiritual Anatomy. Along with her general skill of healing. She is able to detect the smallest details, this helps her in her mastery of healing. Being able to detect anomalies and problems lesser healers wouldn't. She can tell by a simple look what type of medical attention if any is needed.

History: Nejiko has no recollection of where she was born or to whom she was born. But she knows that for as long as she can remember she was always fascinated with helping people. As a little girl she would run around the Rukongai's districts helping those that had gotten into fights, those who were hungry and those who just needed someone to talk to. She would walk around the plains in between districts collecting flowers and herbs that could be used in potions. She would return to her Surogate Families house and mix potions in her room and test them on her family when they got sick. She never had a bad reaction with her herbs, as if she had a sight that matched plants together to form the perfect cure for whatever ails you. When she had turned 6 years old she was walking around the rukongai when a couple of bandits arrived in her district trying to steal from her and her surrogate family. Nejiko tried to stop them but they took a poker from a fireplace and jabbed her under each of her eyes 3 times. Nejiko was robbed of her ability to see colors, as the bandits went away with their loot. It was then that Nejiko made a promise to her surrogate family that she would become a Soul Reaper, so that she would have the power to stop things like that from happening to other people. She packed up and was then on her way to the Soul Reaper Entrance Exams.

In the Academy, Nejiko was an average student, She excelled in Kido, particularly Healing Spells. She also had a hard time with Zanjutsu, She would constantly hold her sword incorrectly, Strike incorrectly or not participate in spars, for fear of hurting her opponent. Going through the academy she eventually graduated and was assigned to 10th seat, 1st relief squad of 4th Company. She spent her first 20 years in the squad, learning more about healing and her natural powers. All the while she never forgot where she came from and what her purpose was in this academy. Every week she would go visit her family in the Rukongai, help out around the home, tend to injuries and gather some new herbs. 8 more years into service Nejiko achieved her Shikai one day when searching for herbs. She found a grass whistle, and examined it in her hand. She took it and began playing it. 10 seconds later a Hawk flew in and landed in front of her. The hawk didn't have normal feathers they were green and gold and its eyes were a light blue. Nejiko reached out to touch the hawk but it raised itself off of the ground and flew inside Nejiko's chest. Nejiko doubled over in pain clutching the area that the hawk had penetrated. She closed her eyes in pain but as she did the pain was gone. When she reopened her eyes she wasn't in a field of flowers but she was on a plain, A lake to her left a Mountain Range to her right and nothing but open Sky above her. The Hawk was circling her from above. What is this place... what do you want!. The hawk never replied, It just landed in front of her, stand to its fullest and grow. The hawk began growing into a Human Shape. Once it finished its transformation it tucked its wings behind its torso and it touched Nejiko on the forehead. "I'm Takatsuchi... Pleasure to meet you." Nejiko and Takatsuchi talked all the way back to the Seireitei, until Nejiko came out of his realm realizing that she wasn't holding a regular zanpakuto. She was wielding a Large Green Blade which she assumed was her Shikai. After a couple more years, Nejiko rose to Assistant Captain's position, having taken her healing powers to a higher level than most, her Zanjutsu and her Kido even more powerful. One day while coming back from a mission in the Human World, she was walking through the Rukongai when she noticed a small child struggling to enter the Seireitei. The child had short jagged black hair and looked like she hadn't eaten in weeks. Nejiko approached the child, to assist her but the child passed out before she could reach her. Nejiko rushed to the childs side and checked her pulse. After diagnosing that she was just hungry, She brought the child to an inn in the district, brought her a tray of food from the Seireitei and healed her wounds. After returning to the Seireitei she received word that the captain had been heavily injured in a battle against the Arrancar.His wounds were so great and numerous that he couldn't be saved, Half of his heart was missing and he was limbless. He was dying on the bed and had called Nejiko in to tell her something. Nejiko was told that she was to become the next captain as soon as she achieved Bankai. Nejiko took the words as a last command from her beloved captain as he passed away that night. Every Day She would be up as first rays of the soon came in, Practicing with Takatsuchi to achieve her Bankai.
