What is a mission? A mission is a series of objectives that a higher-up gives to you, or you decide to undertake. It can be as simple as "kill that guy", or be as complicated as "invade into enemy territory, meet this guy of whom we only have a picture, obtain what uncertain information you can, kill the guy and relay the information to your higher-ups. It is different from training in that it has a definite goal -- if you accomplish said objectives, you gain a reward; if you don't, you don't or may [in some circumstances] get a partial reward. One should keep in mind that while they can make missions applications if they want, the Captains of each Division, as well as Race Leaders will be responsible for taking care of their own members' missions. They have the task of creating events for their own members, so their members are occupied and happy. You can participate in only one mission at a time. Steps in a mission:

1.) Contact your division members [optional], and the RPing Mod [necessary] that you will create a mission.
2.) Create your mission application, and get it approved [hopefully on the same day it was created].
3.) Create a RPing thread and RP. [The RPing Mod will tell you when he sees unacceptable behavior or too much OOC posts.]
4.) RP.
5.) After finishing the RP, ask for the rewards. The RPing Mod will give them, as well as bonuses for good RPing skills.

What is training? Training is, literally, training against another RPing character to hone one's skills, to become stronger or to duke it out with your archnemesis. It can include anything from a simple spar to a death match, and from one-on-one to a multi-man brawl. It is different from missions in that you can still get a reward for excellent roleplaying skills, as well as good sportsmanship and other traits that make up the RPer. Of course, the winner gets the original goal, whether just a simple victory, the rank of Captain, or maybe even money and items. One should keep in mind that they don't need to apply for training. Anyone is able to and recommended to create training threads, just remember to keep to the rules and figure out the prize with your opponent before you start RPing. Steps in training:

1.) Find who you want to RP with.

3.) RP.

Bonuses. For good sportsmanship, behavior, and keeping to the rules the RPing mod will hand out bonuses. For bad sportsmanship, behavior, or disregard for the rules the RPing mod will either remove some parts of the rewards or nullify the RPing thread, making it garbage; if behavior should be out of the RPing Mod's hands, then the case will be forwarded to the Rules Mod/Baraku to deal with.

List of bonus criteria:
1.) Good RPing skills.
2.) Good sportsmanship. [Not god-modding, harboring bad thoughts about the opponent, and showing them via PM or discussions, not autoing.]
3.) Good language. [Correct grammar, spelling.]
4.) Appropriate lenth and able to understand posts.
5.) Flow of RP doesn't stray too far from the original plan.
6.) Exceptional skill in RPing.
7.) Not using OOC posts at all.

List of minus criteria:
1.) Bad RPing skills.
2.) Posts are below 3 lines.
3.) Bad language.
4.) Godmodding.
5.) Autoing.
6.) Bad sportsmanship.
7.) Flow of RP strays from the original plan too much.
8.) Horrible skill in RPing.
8.) Using more than 3 OOC posts per page [15 messages, all of the RPers involved incuded].
